Phoebe

Phoebe is a Sheffield based multi-instrumentalist and passionate music educator from North Wales. She is an instrumental teacher in harp, piano and guitar. Phoebe grew up learning these instruments in school from age 7 years and achieved ABRSM Grade 8 piano and harp. In 2024 Phoebe graduated from The University of Sheffield with a First Class Honours degree in BMus Music.

During her undergraduate music degree, she specialised in performance, music psychology and community music and education. For her final year project she self-produced a debut solo EP Serendipity, a collection of dreamy harp improvisations with electronics. Phoebe’s track Periwinkle from Serendipity has been streamed on BBC Radio 3 Unwind ‘The Sleeping Forecast’ and The Lot Radio.

To develop her knowledge of education and child development, Phoebe studied a PGCE in Early Years and Primary Education at Sheffield Hallam University. During this course Phoebe dedicated her research project to musical improvisation in primary education and in her placements she wrote songs for a Nativity play, led a choir, ran a piano club and developed a music curriculum. Phoebe takes a student-centered approach and at the heart of her teaching is that every student develops a passion for music.

When not teaching, Phoebe can be found working on many musical projects usually performing in music venues across Yorkshire and Cheshire. Aside from this she loves to go to dance classes, knit and crochet and all things creative.
