Ella-May is a Sheffield-based vocalist and music educator dedicated to sparking a lifelong passion for music. A First Class Music graduate from the University of Sheffield, she balances a busy freelance schedule and performances with the Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus, Key of She, and Footprints Jazz Club. From the Crucible Theatre, to care homes, to Sheffield Cathedral, her diverse performance experience informs her versatile teaching style. She is open to teaching a wide variety of styles including musical theatre, pop, jazz, and classical.
Her work with Concerteenies (award-winning early years music charity) means that she has a well-versed approach to teaching those who are at the beginning of their musical journeys. Whether you have been singing or playing for years or just a couple of months, Ella-May’s approach remains the same – it is rooted in student-led enjoyment. Whether facilitating creative health sessions or preparing a student for graded exams, her goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where confidence can thrive.
For Ella-May, music is so much more than just the correct notes—it’s about motivation, play, and joy.
