Say hello to Kanye!

Kanye is a drummer and educator based in Sheffield. He has a Rockschool Grade 8 certificate in drums.

Kanye has been delivering engaging, structured, and student-centred lessons that inspire learners of all ages. He plays different genres in classical, pop, jazz, rock, and metal.

As a 6-year-old kid, he started learning percussion, in snare drum, bass drum, tom-toms, timpani, tambourine, triangle, wood block, cowbell, and drum set. Kanye joined the school orchestra at the age of 8; went on to become the principal of percussion and continued his orchestra journey in secondary school. He performed in school concerts and participated in annual music festivals, and played his drum solo in front of the whole school. Kanye played at various live performances in the university.

He has worked for private music schools in Sheffield and Hong Kong. He can also speak Cantonese and Mandarin.

When he isn’t drumming, Kanye spends his time playing volleyball, watching premier league football, building LEGO or driving a bus!
