Say hello to Abigail!

Abigail is a multi-instrumentalist student based in Sheffield. She has been playing both the violin and piano from a young age and is currently in her fourth year studying Music at the University of Sheffield, where she specialises in solo performance on the violin.

Her love of ensemble playing began in primary school, when she joined her first school orchestra, and continued throughout secondary school, where she worked her way through the violin sections to become Principal First Violin. She now enjoys playing with local orchestras both at home and in Sheffield, alongside her solo performance studies.

Having grown up learning and performing music herself, Abigail understands how important a supportive and encouraging teacher can be in helping students stay motivated and enjoy making music. She aims to create lessons that are friendly and engaging, helping students build confidence in their playing while working towards their own individual goals.

For Abigail, learning an instrument is not just about improving technically, but about developing a genuine enjoyment of music that students can carry with them beyond their lessons.
