Say hello to Joe! He is the founder of Dronfield Music Tuition and also teaches Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele and Vocals.
Joe has always wanted to run his own music school and after a move to Dronfield found the perfect opportunity.
He has Grade 8 certificates in guitar, bass guitar, vocals and ukulele. He also has a BA (Hons) degree in Popular Music and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Plus, a 100% pass rate in RTG exams. He has 15 years of experience in performing music internationally, 10 years of experience tutoring and 5 years of experience teaching in local schools.
Previously, Joe ran group guitar tuition workshops ’12th Fret Tuition’. The workshops were tailored for beginner, intermediate and advanced guitarists and became a huge success in Sheffield.
As well as music education, Joe has been in many successful, local bands over the last 15 years. He rocked the bass guitar in a rock band ‘Downslide’, served up some funky riffs in ‘Darkehorse’ and would sing his heart out in ‘Electric Idols’ events band.
Joe has now joined the world famous Foo Fighters tribute band, the UK Foo Fighters, taking the part of Nate Mendel on Bass Guitar. The singer Jay performed on stage with Dave Grohl and the Foo’s back in 2014, watch the video here. For more info on the band and a full list of their tour dates.

He has worked for various private music schools in Sheffield and has experience teaching in government schools including Brunswick Primary, Birley Academy, Sheffield Park Academy and Hatfield Primary.
Adele and Joe – Cornwall 2023
Joe and Adele married in 2023 in a private ceremony in Cornwall. They have two boys together and love their countryside home, trips to Cornwall, and holidays to Malta and Florida.
Joe can teach all ages and levels with an enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated approach.
